The end of Humanity!

What has the world come to!!! In a smart world, the human being has never been this stupid!!! This has to be the beginning of the end! A world where compassion, love and care have been replaced by hypocrisy, vendetta and jealousy, no more can people be happy for others. People can only be happy for someone if they feel they are still superior in every way to that person. Gone are the days of the 'gift of the magi' where sacrifices prevailed. In today's day and age it is the survival of the opportunist. We have hundreds of virtual friends on social media and not a single genuine friend to fall back on. Every special moment is ruined in the process of a desperate need to publicise it to the world through social media, that too a world that gives a rats ass. The people who really matter do not matter at all and the people who do not matter at all really matter. FOMO has caused human beings to be utterly confused in a rat race with no finish line! Gone are the days where words were meant and carried weight. Today people say something, mean something and do something else.The best part is after messing up our lives so beautifully, we still wonder why there is an emptiness or a vacuum in our lives and then we are running to a spiritual guru to crack the 'da vinci code'. The only difference between the very learned guru or therapist and us is that they are intelligent enough to know how stupid we are.Today our yardstick of achievement is measured by the number of likes we get from a bunch of random people and our true well wishers are royally ignored. Technology has taken over our lives to such an extent that one probably does not have an emotion that cannot be displayed through an emoticon! Egos are on an all time high and we have mastered the art of " no one has the power to effect us" to such an extent that we can easily do without any relationship. Tolerance levels are zero and individuality and self obsession are the orders of the day. Greed has taken over the human world as technology has made every possible thing so easily accessible and available that we have successfully created desires and desperate needs for things that are actually completely useless to us. We are desperately trying to prove ourselves all our lives to a society that is desperate to pull us down. Each human being is on a virtual chess board plotting and planning his or her next move to win a non existent battle. In a world where wrong is the new right, depression unhappiness and confused emotions have completely taken over humanity!!!So the billion dollar question is that living in our smart homes,driving our smart cars, using our smartphones are we really smarter than our ancestors?
